APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
School of Larks offers a diverse apprenticeship program that involves planning, teaching, working on personal skills and much more! If you would like to get involved with an apprenticeship opportunity, please contact schooloflarks@gmail.com.

We have a trainee program for over 25's which runs alongside our apprenticeship program. We welcome enquiries from circus professionals and also those with circus experience who are interested in teaching circus arts.
Here's what our apprentices have to say...
2019 Apprentice -
2019 Apprentice - Tali is a Performing Arts student who began taking aerial lessons with School of Larks in 2018 as a means of making her performance skills more diverse. It quickly became more of a passion; she now hopes to study Circus in the future. She also enjoys creating and performing physical theatre as well as developing her hula hoop and acrobatic skills.
2019 Apprentice - I started aerial classes at School of Larks after a summer school in 2013! I’m currently doing the Art Foundation at Stroud and will hopefully be continuing to study Circus at Circomedia in 2020. All aspects of being an apprentice have been uplifting: working with compassionate teachers and students, learning about the business, gaining leadership skills, and solidifying my own knowledge through teaching others.
2018 Apprentice- Laura has picked up a variety of circus skills from various people since she was a child which has given her a good foundation in a range of skills from juggling and unicycle through to the trapeze. Her main focus has always been to learn aerial skills, and more recently she has discovered a love for hand- balancing.
2017 apprentice - Jess worked in various classes, learning to teach a range of skills including aerial, manipulation and balance!
2016 Apprentice - I loved working as the apprentice for School of Larks- it has really helped to build my confidence both with teaching and my personal performing skills. I have loved working to help design the business, I felt that it was really adapted to my individual needs. I am continuing to work there teaching and also as their designer!
2015 Apprentice- Working as an apprentice for School of Larks can be anything from learning about the business to helping create a show. It really is what you make it into, so the most important thing is to do the things you enjoy and are interested in. Alice and Claudia will provide you with tons of opportunities but it’s up to you to decide which ones will help you the most. For me it was all about improving my skills as a teacher, and building my confidence as an artist.
